Suelo is a full time window watcher. He's also pretty cute. Am I turning into the cat lady? I think I have around 80% too many photos of my feline.

Messing with changing the focus.

Kitty

This post is dedicated to my cat Annie, who passed away a few weeks ago at an age of 15+. Fifteen years ago a woman my mom worked with found her abandoned on the street, and so we said we'd take her. She was a good cat, her breath was a bit smelly, but her fur was always soft.

In her old age. She was deaf and nearly blind.
Very confused.
Dominatrix. I put this as the full screen backdrop on one of the Foreign Language Computer Lab Computers in the fall of 2004...it stayed up the whole semester. Could you get any work done if this cat was staring at you tripple life size?

Here is my cat, Suelo, standing in the only sliver of morning sunlight peeking into my house. He's the cutest.

Fall

The weather in Northwest Arkansas has been positively beautiful up until yesterday. Though quite busy with school I still managed to get out a little bit and enjoy it. My mom and step dad just finished building this fancy tree house that connects to their house, so I went up and lounged in the hammocks for a while. Quite peacefull really.
In front of Old Main while walking to my car.
From the front.
Three hammocks to choose from, though only two at a time fit.
Lounging.
Annie chillin' on the railing.

So it turns out that my dog buries her bones. I really thought that that sort of thing only happened in the cartoons, but no, it's real life. I found both of these bones by investigating a suspicious pile of mulch and dirt in my flower garden. And then when I told my mom about the situation, she informed me that she just recently found two stale hotdog buns buried in the hay. So that's a funny story.
Yum! I wonder what animal Sally found this bone from.
On a further note, I hope you are noticing the beginnings of a new flower in the photo I just planted this winter that is now just peeking above the soil surface.

Snow and ice

So it sleeted and then snowed on Friday night, and Fayetteville is still feeling the effects of it all. We got 4-5 inches, and it's still a blast to sled and play on. I really just couldn't resist taking a few photos, so here you go. Also, I looked out my window this afternoon to see my 52 year old mother flying down my hill on a sled. I went outside and she just immediately started raving about how great the road was and how incredibly fast she got on each account. I thought that was funny, it was like she was 6 again.
Most of the icicles around my house were from the ground to the roof.

Here's the little house 2 days after initial snowfall.
Climbing down the screen.Ok. Who can resist taking a photo of an excited little cute doggy. Kima is deathly cute. She's opening her mouth kinda wide here though.
