Getting home from Montezuma was a bit trickier than going. It only took 3 bus transitions and one ferry ride to go the 7 hours, though very worth it. The way back was a bit of a different story, due to the fact that the ferry workers were on strike. There was only one ferry crossing at all, and that was at Playa Naranja, which down here is a bit difficult to get to considering it is about an hour taxi ride down a bad dirt road, and there are not too many taxi drivers willing to go the distance. So mom and I started out pretty early to get home since I had to be in San Jose by 7 am the next day, no choice. Luckily a sequence of good strokes of luck got us home by around 9:30 pm, only a 12 hour trip and pretty early considering our situation.
A shell that a fellow that was in the same transportation situation as us had found on the beach.

On the barge around hour 9 of the trip home.
Shark spine bone.

Possibly my favorite photo of the trip.
