More on the nature of my garden

Who's ready for more bugs and plants? I know I am. Who needs people anyways.

Like brother like sister

We might as well be twins. Look at us, both adventuring in the wilderness against deadly beast. Mine being a Rattlesnake(which also just happens to be a nickname of mine), and his being some form of deadly island snake. Maybe I'm just in my backyard in Arkansas, and he's in the middle of the jungle in Panama, but those are about the same right? And maybe he killed his by chopping off it's head with a machete, and I found mine already dead in the road, but whatever, we're equals in my eyes.

Apparently I have recently obtained a fascination with bugs and flowers coinciding in the same photo. Tis' the season.

And I'm not sure I've ever come across this kind before.

More spring

It's Spring!

And I'm so glad to be home for it.

Afternoon at Daniels house

The other afternoon a couple of us trucked on over to the house Daniel grew up in where his parents still live. It was a beautiful day, perfect for a little dip despite that it's still May.

Flight home

Like most people, I can't stand taking off and landing. But once we are up in the air, there arn't very many places in this world I am happier.

Melanie's Family has a nice little getaway house over in El Valle that I was fortunate enough to be allowed to visit the day before I left. I wish I could have spent more time there because thier mom did an amazing job designing and building everything about the property.

This is my last Casco Viejo post, I promise. But it was just such an interesting place.

This is a part of Panama City that was very interesting for me. It was very run down in some parts, but in others they were starting to revitalize the buildings.
Here you have two revitalized buildings with an old one in the middle.

Panama Canal

Where the boats come from on the Pacific side.

This guy just walked around all day and told visitors detailed information as to what was happening in the canal. What a job. Maaaaaaaaaybe a little boring.

Weekend at Chewnings beach house

A friend of Melanies has a family beach house about an hour and a half from Panama City, so about 10 of us headed on out there this past weekend for some beach action.
